Refund and Transfer Policy

What happens to reservation payments and program fees if you change your plans, defer to another cohort, or a program cannot run. Read this before making any payment.

Institutional support explaining BIT refund and transfer options

1. Reservation-payment status

A reservation payment holds a confirmed seat in a specific program and cohort. It is part of the program fee, not an additional charge. A seat is held only while the reservation and any agreed payment schedule remain in good standing, as described in the Admissions Terms.

2. Refund eligibility

A refund of fees paid may be requested when:

  • You withdraw in writing before the cohort's stated start date
  • BIT cancels or materially reschedules the program (see section 8)
  • A schedule or format change by BIT prevents you from continuing and no suitable transfer is available

Withdrawals after the cohort has started are handled case by case: fees for the portion of the program already delivered are not refundable.

3. Refund request period

Refund requests must be made in writing to BIT Admissions before the cohort start date to qualify for a full refund of refundable amounts.

Requests made within the first week of classes may qualify for a partial refund after deducting the delivered portion and any non-refundable items. Requests after the first week of classes do not qualify for a refund, though a transfer or deferment may still be possible under sections 5 and 6.

4. Non-refundable items

  • Bank, transfer, or payment-gateway charges incurred on your payment or its return
  • Costs of any physical materials or third-party tool licenses already issued to you
  • The delivered portion of a program after classes have started

Workshop and masterclass registrations that are free of charge have nothing to refund; any paid workshop states its own refund terms at registration.

5. Program transfer rules

Before your cohort starts, you may transfer your reservation and fees to a different BIT program once, subject to seat availability. If the new program's fee is higher, the difference is payable before it starts; if lower, the difference is credited or refunded. Transfers after classes start are considered case by case.

6. Cohort deferment

If you cannot join the cohort you reserved, you may defer your seat once to the next available cohort of the same program at no charge, by informing Admissions before the cohort start date. A deferred seat is subject to seat availability in the new cohort and to any fee difference if the program fee has changed.

7. Missed classes

Fees are not refunded or reduced for individual classes you miss. Where catch-up support or recordings exist for your cohort, Admissions will help you use them. Extended absence for a serious reason should be raised with Admissions, who may offer a deferment under section 6.

8. Program cancellation by BIT

If BIT cancels a cohort before it starts, you choose: a full refund of all fees paid, or a transfer of the full amount to another program or cohort.

If BIT must end a program partway, fees for the undelivered portion are refunded or transferred at your choice. BIT is not liable for other costs, such as travel or equipment, connected with a cancelled program.

9. Approved refund method

Approved refunds are returned through the same channel the payment was received from — the same bank account, card, or mobile wallet — in the name of the original payer. Refunds are not paid in cash or to third-party accounts.

10. Processing time

Approved refunds are processed within 14 working days of approval. The time for funds to appear depends on your bank or payment provider. Admissions will confirm in writing when a refund has been sent.

11. Contact information

Refund, transfer, and deferment requests go through Contact BIT, by call or WhatsApp on 0310 1751427, or in person at the Faisalabad campus. Include your name, program, cohort, and payment reference. See also the Admissions Terms and Privacy Policy.
